Great Pyrenees (long coat) : : Male : : Adult : : Large
HW Negative
‘ Yuki ’ is a young Great Pyrenees estimated to be 3 years old with a luxurious coat, majestic physique and beautiful athleticism to move around swiftly. He is neutered , up to date on his vaccination and preventatives and heart worm negative . He is both potty trained and crate trained. He is also good on leash but tends to pull a little when tracing down an interesting scent. However, all these are well manageable as he responds to your voice and leash pressure very well. He is a sweetheart and a velcro dog that loves to follow you everywhere and does find ways to get a few pets and kisses.
‘ Yuki ’ has all the good qualities of a Pyr . He is gentle and calm around other dogs, cats and strangers, but he can be mischievous as well when left alone. Therefore, at this stage, he needs your supervision to help keep him away from unintended stuff or put inside a crate or a confined area when left unattended . He has medium level energy and he likes to run and wrestle with other dogs. Therefore, he is not suited for an apartment and a reasonable sized yard is recommended. Daily exercise besides routine walks is recommended. One quirk about ‘ Yuki ’ is that he likes to whine during the night inside the crate . This type of behavior will go away with time after giving him structure in the house. He also has mild food resource guarding issue toward other dogs, not humans. Please feed him separately from the group.
In general, ‘ Yuki ’ represents the pinnacle of Pyr in my opinion with his look and quality. He may not be a couch potato that you can enjoy a Saturday movie night with. However, h e would be a great companion dog that you can explore your lif e with to the endless frontier! Adoption Criteria (adult 1-8 years) 1.
